our
work culture
|
From its inception, Metrics has been run with two primary business principles:
Of course, a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to transform these principles into reality. Our management team has extensive background in communication technologies, personal and network computing and medical transcription, which we feel is an ideal combination of skills given today's technologically demanding environment. Our project managers work individually with each client or prospective client to determine their transcription requirements, their economic considerations, the capabilities of their existing hardware and software and their plans for growth. This may include a telephone conference call, a technical specifications meeting, and/or a site visit. Next, we determine how we can use the resources available within our company to help our clients achieve their goals. Finally, we provide a detailed technical proposal, tailored to your staff's technical comfort zone, which outlines our understanding of your project and our service strategy. Beyond the initial service proposal, for those of you who are "techno-challenged", our staff actively investigates the latest technologies on the market, both inside and outside the transcription industry, and works to understand how they help (or hinder) the medical transcription process for each of our clients. We work proactively with our clients and prospective clients to thoroughly understand their existing transcription process so that we can suggest alternative solutions for their business as new technology becomes available and older technology matures. Staff members attend various trade shows in the telecommunications, health information management and computing fields to keep up to date with the continual changes affecting our business and yours. Our dictation system is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have in-office staff coverage from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. central time with voice-mail/paging available off-hours. Transcription staff is available essentially 24 hours a day. For clinical environments, we offer complete compatibility with the Olympus DS-150 digital handheld recorders. Clinicians, in particular, love to be able to dictate "on the fly." In addition to providing a resource for technological issues that arise, our company also strives to provide great quality transcription work. Since the company's inception, we have worked hard to attract and retain qualified medical language professionals who can be counted upon to deliver a correct transcript in a timely fashion. Our hiring standards are among the highest in the country. We deny employment to many applicants at the initial screening itself, and many others are released within their first 30 days for failure to meet our stringent demands for quality and timeliness. Additionally, we maintain highly qualified and dedicated Quality Assurance staff who review all work for correctness before returning it to our clients. We understand that re-done reports, lost work and late work waste your valuable time and are a big source of annoyance. We take every step to eliminate these problems and meet our commitments for quality and turnaround, which in turn helps your operation run more efficiently. To summarize, at Metrics., we believe in the philosophy that our clients and our staff are the key to our ongoing success. We work hard to get to know each of our clients, develop an optimal technical solution that suits their existing business processes and economic requirements, and, most importantly, follow through by continually providing the quality work and timely service you deserve from us. Metrics
has been in the business of providing transcription outsourcing for facilities
of all sizes since 1999. We make it our business to work with each client
to understand the challenges you face as you attempt to balance the conflicting
demands of ease of use, security, universal access to the patient record
and timely completion of work. We believe the pressure on the medical
records teams across the country will continue to mount as administrators
demand quicker production with fewer resources. Since you have taken the
time to visit this Web page, chances are you're at least considering the
option of outsourcing your work. We'd like you to leave our site knowing
that we are a qualified and willing resource for transcription services.
